Forest (Favonia da Raposa) is a 2010 15.2hh imported lusitano gelding and confirmed Grand Prix schoolmaster. He is truly one of the most special horses I’ve had the privilege of owning, and is now available for lease! Forest willingly offers up every FEI movement with ease and is the king of flying changes, hardly ever missing one even with the most beginner rider. Since earning my gold medal, Forest has gone on to teach countless lessons to juniors, adult amateurs, and even beginners, including helping two different riders earn their bronze medals and recently two fourth level scores with a young rider. Forest does have significant cataracts in both eyes that impede his vision, which means he can be spooky especially in new environments or with light changes. While it can catch a rider off balance, he would never do anything purposely mean. Due to his vision challenges he thrives with a tactful rider who can give him a little extra reassurance.
